Griseofulvin interaction mechanism
Hepatic CYP450 3A4 enzyme inducer.
Will reduce exposure of concomitantly used drugs that are metabolised by this enzyme.
Phenytoin interaction mechanism
Hepatic CYP450 (many subtypes including 3A4 and 2D6) enzyme inducer.
Will reduce exposure of concomitantly used drugs that are metabolised by these enzymes.
Rifampicin interaction mechanism
Hepatic CYP450 enzyme inducer, including CYP3A4.
Will reduce exposure of concomitantly used drugs that are metabolised by these enzymes.
Alcohol (chronic use) interaction mechanism
Hepatic CYP450 enzyme inducer, including CYP2E1.
Will reduce exposure of concomitantly used drugs that are metabolised by these enzymes.
Phenobarbital interaction mechanism
Increases expression of various CYP450 enzymes including CYP3A4 and CYP2B6.
Sodium valproate interaction mechanism
Inhibits various CYP450 enzymes, including CYP2C9.
Will increase exposure of concomitantly used drugs that are metabolised by these enzymes.
Isoniazide interaction mechanism
Inhibits various CYP450 isoforms including CYP3A4 and CYP2C19.
Will increase exposure of concomitantly used drugs that are metabolised by these enzymes.
Cimetidine interaction mechanism
Reversibly inhibits CYP450 isoforms such as CYP2C11 and CYP2D6.
Will increase exposure of concomitantly used drugs that are metabolised by these enzymes.
Azole antifungals interaction mechanism
Inhibits CYP3A4 and other CYP450 isoforms
Will increase exposure of concomitantly used drugs that are metabolised by these enzymes.
