  • biological, psychological and societal factors involved in the development of Sz
  • Biological factors include- genetic vulnerability, neurochemical and neurological abnormality
  • interactionist assumes processes (biological vulnerability and environmental stressor) interact with each other to cause behaviour

A

-people who are biologically vulnerable to developing a mental disorder may be more likely to develop if they are subjected to certain social or environmental stressors
