Stratum Spinosum- secretes lipids that help water-proof the skin
Stratum granulosum- continued production of keratin and water-proofing lipids
Stratum Lucidum- palms of hands and soles of feet
Stratum Corneum- outer most layer of epidermis

protein that makes up hair, skin and nails

What is melanin? Which cell produces it? What are the 2 main types of melanin? What is its basic function?
pigment that gives color

What are the types of skin/cutaneous glands?
