What are the follow up guidelines RE needle stick injury?
Anti HBs at 3 months post exposure
Anti HCV and Anti HIV at 3 months for seroconversion
6 moth testing is still recommended but 95% will seroconvert in 3 months
What is HBsAg
Marker of both acute and persistent infection
If HBsAg is +ve what should be tested for next?
Anti HBc IgM which if positive indicates recent infection
