Running engine produces heat.
Constant flow of coolant running around engine. Heat transferred to coolant.
Heats the saloon:-
Heat from coolant transferred to the train heating system.

What is the purpose of Emergency Bypass Switch (EBS)?
To enable the brakes to be released when there is a fault on the train.
Train has failed. You have operated EBS in order to clear the line. You change ends to take train to depot. What MUST you do before proceeding?
Contact the signaller
Operate EBS in cab you are driving from to depot.
How do you isolate Air Suspension and what speeds apply?
Operate Air Supply Reservoir Isolation Cock (ASRIC) on Xmas tree.
Drain surge tanks in the affected vehicle to level suspension.
Line speed if ECS
Line speed if passengers moved to another vehicle
45mph if passengers on vehicle.
