What is the difference between DMO and PPO?
PPO plans allow you to see any Dentist you’d like, while a DMO plan restricts you to only certain Dentists.
“I do not want to pay a Co-Pay/ Will I have a Co-Pay?/ Are you in or out of network?”
That depends on the type of insurance you carry. Since the insurance department will verify your coverage prior to your appointment, they will let you know if you have any copay BEFORE you come in. This way there will be NO surprises when you come in.
“I think I maxed out my insurance, exam and/or cleanings”
Well, let’s do this. I can schedule you for the appointment and the Insurance Coordinator will verify your benefits a few days before you come in. This way there will be NO surprises when you come in and you can still secure the promotion.
“Can I give you my personal or Insurance information once I come into the office?”
Unfortunately no. We definitely need this information before you come into the office, so we can verify the benefits beforehand. If we wait until you come in for the appointment, you may end up waiting over an hour because it could take that long to verify your insurance coverage. We value your time and do not want to inconvenience you so we want to take care of this before your appointment.
“I will wait for you to run my Insurance in the office”
We do not accept walk-ins. You must schedule an appointment to be seen in our office, and in order to set an appointment I will need your insurance information. Without this information, I cannot schedule your appointment.
“Why do you need to run my personal or insurance information?”
The information is needed so the Insurance Coordinator can verify your benefits a few days before you come in. This way there will be NO surprises when you come in.
“I do not feel comfortable giving my Social Security over the phone”
Without your dental insurance information, the only way we can verify your insurance benefits is through your social. And since we are a dental practice, all of your information is protected and secured through HIPPA. We check your insurance before your appointment to make sure your insurance will cover the checkup - this way there are no surprises when you come in.
