Hipoxemia e hipoxia se definen como:
Hipoxemia: PaO2 entre 60 - 80
Hipoxia: PaO2 < 60

III: Post operados (Atelectacias)
IV: Shock
La IRA tipo I se define como:

Mecanismos de hipoxia:
1) Discordancia V/Q

En la discordancia V/Q encontramos:
Alteraciones obstructiva: Asma, EPOC, TEP
El mecanismo de alteracion de difusión de da por:
EPID, fibrosis pulmonar. Se realiza la prueba de DLCO.
El mecanismo de Shunt D-I se da por:
Ocupación del espacio alveolar: Neumonia y EAP.
En el Shunt D-I, la relation V/Q sera _____ y es producida por:
V/Q: 0
Se produce por que el espacio alveolar esta ocupado por pus, sangre, agua.
En la IRA 1, si la Gradiente es normal (<25) nos habla de:
Una disminución del FiO2 como en el Mal de altura.
En la IRA 1, con G(a-A) elevada, si el paciente responde a oxigeno, pensamos en:
Alteraciones del V/Q y Alteraciones en la difusión

IRA II (Hipoventilacion), causas centrales:
Medicamentos (Opioides, drogas, anestesias), ACV, traumas, tumores.
IRA II (Hipoventilacón), causas periféricas:
Neuromusculares: Desmielinizacion, Lambert Eaton, Miastenia gravis, ELA, obesidad morbida, esponidlitis.
Manejo de la IRA tipo I
O2 de alto flujo
Sat objetivo: 94 - 98%
