Are There Any Societies You Would Like To Join Or Establish?
Keele
Society 1: Women in surgery - being a female myself promoting more women in surgery and improving the representation in society. Ensure equality is faced. To feel safe once you join the medical field.
Society 2 : Pianosoc showcasing music to one another aiming to help everyone play a musical instrument. I currently teach it now, and being able to use this skill at uni . Potentially be entered for competitions.
Society 3:
Dance society - ballet, hiphop, tap I have been dancing for 10 years so maintaining a healthy balance, a passion , potentially enter competitions.
Creating societies of my own - global health awareness. Donations helping other countries with medical equipment etc.
What do you know about PBL? Advantages and disadvantages?
PBL is when you work together to come come about an answer to a clinical scenario or problem through this it covers a range of learning points.
PBL enhance interprofessional team interaction and communication skills. research shows that 18 months later, PBL students have retained more knowledge from their degree.
Good -
1. Practical view of medicine
2. Small group teaching
3. tEAMWORK
4. Rewarding once achieved desired objective
Bad-
1. Quality of learning depends on the quality of the problems or scenarios.
2. more useful at the end of year, to fill in knowledges
