What is in a computer?
Power supply, Case cooling fan, CPU, CPU heat sink and cooling fan, Optical drive, RAM sticks, Hard Disk Drive, Graphics card and the motherboard.
What is the power supply?
Something that supplies power to the motherboard, optical and hard drives, and other hardware.
What is the case cooling fan?
Something that extracts hot air from the computer case.
What is the CPU?
And what does it stand for?
Most important component that does all the processing.
Central processing unit.
What is the CPU heat sink and cooling fan?
Something that keeps the CPU at a steady temperature.
What is the graphics card?
Something that is responsible for rendering images to the display on the monitor.
What is the optical drive?
Something for reading/writing of optical discs.
What are RAM sticks?
Something where a PC stores data before it’s processed.
What does RAM stand for?
Random access memory.
What is the hard disk drive?
The internal secondary storage.
What is the motherboard?
Main circuit board in the computer where the hardware is connected.
