A

superior: levator palpebae superioris, superior rectus
inferior: medial, inf oblique, inf rectus

branches JUST BEFORE LEAVING CRANIAL CAVITY THROUGH SUPERIOR ORBITAL FISSURE

Parasymp. fibers: to ciliary ganglion behind eyeball
these fibers supply muscle of ciliary body and constrictor of pupil

CN 4 TROCHLEAR

A

leaves cran. cavity through sup. orbital fissure into the orbit

supplies: superior oblique muscle ONLY (runs medially)

  1. Frontal- supraorbital and supratrochlear
  2. Lacrimal-passes laterally to lacrimal gland
  3. Nasociliary-external nasal nerve (tip nose), ciliary (enters eyeball)
