Q
Sensory division
A
CN V1 (Ophthalmic division Trigeminal)
2
Q
Motor division
A
CN 3,4,6
3
Q
CN 3 OCULOMOTOR
A
superior: levator palpebae superioris, superior rectus
inferior: medial, inf oblique, inf rectus
branches JUST BEFORE LEAVING CRANIAL CAVITY THROUGH SUPERIOR ORBITAL FISSURE
Parasymp. fibers: to ciliary ganglion behind eyeball
these fibers supply muscle of ciliary body and constrictor of pupil
4
Q
CN 4 TROCHLEAR
A
leaves cran. cavity through sup. orbital fissure into the orbit
supplies: superior oblique muscle ONLY (runs medially)
5
Q
CN 5 (Trigem) V1 (Ophthalmic division)
A
3 divisions
- Frontal- supraorbital and supratrochlear
- Lacrimal-passes laterally to lacrimal gland
- Nasociliary-external nasal nerve (tip nose), ciliary (enters eyeball)
6
Q
CN 6 (Abducens)
A
innervates lateral rectus muscle
passes through superior orbital fissure
