Feet would rot leading to amputation.

A
Flu-like symptoms spread by lice.

A
Soldiers who were in explosions would experience headaches, nightmares and loss of speech.
Sent to Craiglockhart but not treat.
Around 80,000 men suffered this.

A
Shrapnel wounds would get infected by gas and dirt causing gangrene.

A
A solid metal helmet with a strap was invented called the Brodie which decreased head injury by 80%

What different gasses where used?
A
Mustard gas caused blisters that would become infected
Chlorine gas caused death by suffocation, first used by the Germans in the second battle of Ypres 1915
