- Patient in the room
- Check chart (Ht, Wt, BSA, HCT)
- Calculate Flow CI * BSA
- Choose Cannulas
- Draw Drugs
- Have checklist done before handing up lines
- Recirculate pump
- Hand up lines
- clamp off lines before dividing
- Heparin given (correct dosage) 3-5min check
- Arterial Cannulation
- Venous Cannulation
- Clamps on, FiO2 preset, CDI on, Timers, HC Set
- arterial slowly on
- venous open at half
- reach full flow and ANNOUNCE @TIME
- OPEN SHUNTS/GAS ON/TIMER
- SCAN FLOW/AP/MAP/SaO2/SvO2/TEMP
- BUBBLE/LEVEL/O2 Analyzer/FORANE/MANIFOLD OPEN
- Cross Clamp
- Give CPG and then VENT
- CHECK ABG
- Clamp off ANNOUNCE @TIME
- Rewarm
- Give XC drugs, lidocaine, magnesium, mannitol
- Coming off VENTILATE
- SHUNTS OFF
- HALF BITE AND FILL
- CLAMP ARTERIAL AND VENOUS
- GAS and VAPORIZER OFF
- TIMER and CDI OFF
- OFF BYPASS @TIME
- protamine and suckers off
- chase and cell saver
