- Ask suspect to remain and be cooperative
- Searching the suspect pursuant to SSA 2012
- Preliminary interview
- Isolate from others
- Record comments made by the suspect
- ID route suspect used to arrive and leave
- Note suspect appearance
- Caution the suspect If arrested

Control(RACKET)
A
- Remove all people from the scene,
- Assemble people in a clear area and stay with them
- Conduct prelim interview
- Keep rival gangs apart
- Ensure that they don’t take anything or contaminate the scene
- Tell them not to discuss what happen, separate if possible

Freeze(PRIME)
A
- Protect all exhibits
- Remove wandering animals
- If any movement record in log/register
- Movements to stop to and from the scene-
- Ensure nothing is touched or moved in the scene

Guard(UEAU)
A
- Use police roll tape
- Establish boundaries
- Appoint scene guard with clear instruction
- Use reliable civilian until further police staff arrived

Scene guard(CRABS PUR DAD)
A
- Common approach path
- Record details in scene log
- All movement recorded of vehicles from or near the scene
- Brief others
- Secure scene deny access unless authorised
- Protect the scene, be vigilant
- Use tact and courtesy when dealing with civilian witnesses or crowds
- Report relevant info to the O/c scene
- DO NOT disturb scene, do not enter, contaminate
- Actions taken report to O/c Scene
- DO NOT discuss the case with witnesses, bystander or media

Preserve (PAM)
A
- Preserving a scene will be reliant on your reconnaissance
- Appreciation to ensure the scene is preserved for the formal scene examination.
- Must ensure that main areas of examination and any possible exhibits are protected.

A
- Conduct a reconnaissance
- Appreciation carried out and take immediate action
- Gain info
- Ensure initial actions are attended to

After completing your appreciation and taken immediate action you should (SWATT CATS)
A
- Scene cleared of people
- Witnesses and any suspect taken to station for interview
- Any police at scene are brief of further duties
- The scene boundries are correct
- The scene guard has been brief, placed correctly
- Common approach path in and out of scene
- All exhibit preserved and secure
- The scene has been preserved for formal scene examination
- Scene log
