A
- The aim of initial action is to discover
ALL OF THE AVAILABLE EVIDENCE
relevant to the commission of the crime and the ID of the offender.
- To achieve this aim, it is imperative that initial action should be taken to:-
- PRESERVE THE SCENE in its original state; AND
- PREVENT CONTAMINATION of the scene by human or natural agency.
