what happened in Hayu Launch?

A

significant international team effort and required detailed local guidance and oversight.
launched March 2016
rapid growth in more than 11 markets now e.g. Nordic Region, Belgium

At launch perhaps as much as 90% of the content was from the NBCUniversal family. Since launch though we have diversified the content proposition. We are actively acquiring content from third parties as well. We have closed deals with A&E, Viacom plus independent production companies to round out the reality TV offering we have.

Bulk of viewing from mobile phone - We target a young, female demographic 18-34. The average age of our viewers in Australia is 29.

Bravo launch?

A

(NBCUniversal took over NZ free-to-air channel in joint venture with MediaWorks to launch Bravo in 2016)

Also saw recently that Discovery was acquiring a raft of free-to-air channels from local operator MediaWorks that includes Bravo.

Discovery will continue an existing partnership with NBCUniversal for the Bravo channel joint venture in the country.

Stan?

A

The recent major global content deal with Stan reflects the increasing reach of such an established global entertainment company within Australia and its reputation as being a leader in this industry.

The deal will also see Stan become the exclusive home of new DreamWorks Animation TV shows produced for Peacock, in addition to NBCUniversal’s acclaimed children’s programming, scripted and unscripted content fromSky Studios; as well as iconic scripted library TV series and hundreds of blockbusters films from NBCUniversal’s catalogue.

Foxtel?

A

Last year 2019 November signed new multi-year content agreement covering movies, drama, comedy, entertainment, reality and news for Foxtel Group’s broadcast, on demand and streaming platforms.
Includes premier Aus subscription rights for movies from Universal Pictures and significantly expanded range of titles from studio’s rich library of blockbusters and classics - including hit films such as Fast and Furious, Jurrasic, Bourne, and Jaws franchises, in addition to DreamWorks Animation titles
Law & Order and Chicago franchises included.
