inguinalcanal Flashcards
What does the peritoneal fascia become in the scrotum?
the tunica vaginalis
what does the transverersalis fascia become in the scrotum?
becomes the inner spermaic fascia
what does the transvers abdonminis become
nothings it ends at the inner ring of the inguinal canal
what does the internal oblique become
middle creamasteric fascia and muscle fibers become the cremaster muscle
what does the external oblique become
the external spermatic fascia
what does the superficial membranous fascia or scarpas fascia
this becomes the dartos fascia with contains the dartos muscle that creates the wrinkles in the scrotum helps with temp control
what makes the deep inguinal ring
the transversalis fascia
what makes the superficial ring
the external oblique
what are the contiants of the inguinal canal
the vas or ductus deferns, testitcular artery, cremastieric aterey, and the pampinform venous plexis, genital branch fo the genito femoral nerve, testicual plexus and dartos innervetiaon
desribe the vasculature of the inguinal canal
testicular artery comes off the aorta around L2, cremasteric artery from off the inferior epigastric, and the pampinoform plexus drians into the IVC on the right and into the renal viens on the left.
describe the nerves of the inguinal canal
genital branch of the genital femoral supplies the cremasteric muscle, the testicular plexus accompanies the testicular arteru and the ductus deferns, and the dartso innerveatio comes from nerves running along the ilioinguinal and posterior scrotal nerves and parasympatheics fromm the pelvic splanichnics of S2-4
what does the gobernaculum do in males and femals
ligiment that attaches to the tetis and overies helps both descend but more so in males does not grow like the rest of the body so it will force the testis to drop. In females this stops earlier and then the gobernaculum will become the crainially ovarien ligament and cuadually it becomes the round ligament.
what is the diffences between a direct indirect and femoral hernial
direct strained after birth through hassabacks triangle, indirect before birth patents processus vaginalis and femoral below inguinal ligament
what is a hydrocele and hematocele
hydro is fuild and hemato is blood build up in the tunica vaginalus
what is a sabaous cyst
infection fo the hair follicule
what is a spermatocele
cytst within the head of the epididymeus most common in scrotum
what is cryptorchidism
failure of testis to descend
