Below the surface of a city - lighting shapes on the floor look as if someone is looking at the dancers from above.
The London bombings - orange in one of the solos reflects fire and heat
The waste land - blurred edges suggest fog (apparent in the poem)

Different human relationships - lighting changes with each section and different relationships.

Below the surface of a city - black and grey costumes suggest darkness of the underground (smoke and industrial dirt.)
The waste land - the colour are repressive and gloomy, like the poem.

Different human relationships - each dancer is wearing an individual design, the costumes are also personal wear, not outdoor wear, to reveal their personality.

The London bombings - the darkness reflects the bombings on the underground.
Choreographic intent…
Different human relationships- the LED figures show no emotion while the dancers show lots. Symbolises how the surface of humans are just a facade.

Below the surface of a city - muffled speech seems as if it is coming from above and radio static suggests there is no signal underground.
The London bombings - train whistles and radio static reflects the bombings on the underground. The morse code could be a distress signal.
Choreographic intent…
Different human relationships- the music mirrors the emotions of the different relationships.
