Magnetic Media uses magnetic patterns to store data. Data can be stored on it and stored on tapes useful for backup/ archive

Solid State Media Stores Information in the circuit, popular due to the speed and can be used in laptops, do not need air cooling due to no moving parts, they don’t overheat
