Slippery Slope Fallacy
Wrongly assumes that if A happens, then it will cause B,C,D…. etc.
Hasty Generalization
Generalization drawn too quickly, on the basis of too few instances.
Post Hoc Fallacy
Just because something happened after an event doesn’t mean that event caused it to happen.
Genetic Fallacy
Draws a conclusion on a topic based on the origins of a thing rather than on the basis of reason.
Circular reasoning.
The premises already presume the conclusion is true.. implicitly or explicitly.
Ad Hominem Fallacy
Attacks the character of a person rather than addressing the argument itself.
Ad Populum Fallacy
Presents what most people think in order to persuade others to think the same way.
