What is a group?
Collection of people with shared feature or attribute
What is an in-group?
n ingroup is a social group to which a person psychologically identifies as being a member.
What is an out group?
By contrast, an outgroup is a social group with which an individual does not identify

BETTER performance in competitions/easy tasks, but WORSE performance as difficulty of task increases

Working less hard in a group
What is risky shift?
Group decisions more risky.
occurs when a group collectively agrees on a course of action that is more extreme than they would have made if asked individually. Occurs when people individually think risky option is good then become more risky after ground discussion.
What is group polarisation?
groups of like-minded people speaking strengthen their original views
