- FBC & ESR: looking for anaemia, thrombocytosis, raised ESR]
- Biochemistry: stool caprotectin, rasied CRP, low albumin
- microbiology: no stool pathogens

A
- 5-aminosalicylates (anti-inflammatory), oral or rectal
- prednisolone (immuno-suppressive), oral or rectal
- biologics (infliximab)
