  • indirectly quotes (no quote marks) what someone thinks, says, feels, knows, sees, hears
  • trigger verbs include: dīcō, sciō, nesciō, videō, audiō, cogitō, arbitror, reor, putō, sentiō, ferō
  • I think/feel/say/know… THAT something is true
