Often presents as pneumonia

tricuspid valve (first valve blood passes through after return from venous system)
Which antibiotic is used to treat Staph. aureus infection?
IV flucloxacillin (in suspected MRSA vancomycin, gentamicin and/ or rifampicin)

Strep. viridans (oral commensals)
Which antibiotics are used to treat Strep. viridans infection?
IV benzylpenicillin and gentamicin

IV amoxicillin, metronidazole and gentamicin
