Lyme Disease Treatment

A

Early: Doxy x 28days
Neuro or carditis: CTX
Facial palsy or arthritis: doxycycline

Prophylaxis with 200mg Doxy 
Indicated if all 5 criteria are met: 
1. Ixodes Tick 
2. Attached for 36+ hours or engorged 
3. Prophy delievered with 72 hours of tick removal 
4. >20% infection rate in region 
5. no CI to doxy

– Morulae in the cytoplasma of leukocyte
