- Flouroquinalone
2. Ceftriaxone + Macrolide
Hospital Aquired Pneumonia Dx Criteria
- Onset AFTER 72 hrs of admission
- onset w/in 90 days of discharge
- Resident in healthcare facility
HCAP tx
(cover Pseudomonas) = treat with 3
- Ceftazdime OR cefepime
- Imipenem OR meropenem OR pipercillin/tazobactam
- Levofloxacin
Vent Asst. Pneumonia
(Cover Pseudamonas and MRSA) = Treat with 3
- Ceftazidime OR Cefepime OR Pipercillin/tazobactam
- Flouroquinalone OR Aminoglycoside
- Vancomycin OR Linezilid
Lung Abscess Tx
Need Abx for MONTHS
- G(+): Amoxacillin
- S aureus: Vanco
- Anaerobes: Clinda OR Metronidazole
- G(-): Flouroquinalones OR Ceftazidime
Tuberculosis Tx
Initial Quad Therapy = 2mo - Rifampin - Isoniazide - Pyrazinamide - Ethambotol (- Streptomycin) Continue: Isoniazide + Rifampin 9mo
Prophylaxis after exposure:
- Isoniazide 9mo
