What is the best initial tx for mild disease?
Mild: hydration, getorade
Severe disease: fluid replacement and quinolone (cipro)
CAREFUL: quinolones do not cover giardia!
How would you define severe disease
Hypotensive, tachycardia, fever, abdo pain, bloody diarrhea, metabolic acidosis
