pathogen that causes a disease (bacteria or parasite)
Causative agent
area where causative agent lives (human body)
Reservoir
way for the causative agent to escape from the reservoir in which it has been growing.
Portal of exit
way for the causative agent to enter a new reservoir (enters through the “ opening” on the body)
portal of entry
person likely to get an infection or disease because of weakened body defenses
susceptible host
