Yes, many became deformed or crippled from the continuos hard labour.
Children would also have their fingers crushed and arms broken
Rarely would a child die but it still sometimes happened
What would happen if a person was sick in the mills and found no one to replace him?
They would have to pay 6s
What were children called who worked in the mills?
Apprentices
