who was Edward Jenner?
He discovered the vaccinations to prevent small pox. he injected people who has sp with cow pox and save many lives.
who was james simpson?
A proffesor from Edinburgh who discovered an anaestetic called chloroform that knocked out patients.
How did jenner discover the cure for sp?
he observed that the milk maids never caught sp and tested with cow pox. Although it did work he could not prove it.
How did Simpson discover anaesthetic?
He invited people round who studied chemicals and inhaled them. He inhailed it to reduce pain.
who was John snow?
A famous surgeon who worked in London. He proves that by taking away the infected drinking water there would be less deaths. There were no deaths in the brewery because they were drinking the best not the water.
who was Edwin chadwick?
was a civil servant who worked for the government. during the great stink he proposed an idea that if you cleaned the streets it would lead to less deaths and disease. He creates the sewer system.
