What were some agricultural changes in Britain?
A
- agriculture doubled in produce because of selective breeding for sheep; four-course rotation of crops; new methods written about; modern ‘patchwork’ of enclosed fields created
- increased machinery so fewer farm workers

What would have happen without the agricultural revolution?
A
The growing population of Britain would have been starved and the industrial revolution would have been stifled.

What were some transport changes in Britain?
A
- great improvement for roads, trains, canals
- Turnpike trusts set up: charge a toll for using road and maintain road
- roads much better than mud roads before where carriages would get stuck
- quicker to transport goods
- canals popular in 1790s - £20m invested - good for transporting bulky goods
- first railway built in 1825 - very popular - £2bn invested
- less unemployment - work at railways
- fruit became more common because could be transported before rotten

What were some industrial changes in Britain?
A
- many advancements in textiles, iron and steel production, coal and steam power
- factories for cotton and other goods set up
- Richard Arkwright set up first factories, powered by mills
- coal mines with steam power built - very dangerous
