Utility
The amount of satisfaction that a consumer gains from consuming a good or service
Rational consumer
consumer acts in a way to maximise satisfaction when they spend money on goods and services
Marginal utility
the satisfaction gained from consuming an additonal unit of a good or servies
Diminishing marginal utility
as consumers consume more units of a good or service, the additional units give smaller increases in total satisfaction

influencing consumer choices by the way the choices are presented
