Q

Name some of the negative effects of British rule on India.

A

British customs were forced on the people and local traditions, culture and religions tended to be ignored. Indian workers were exploited, the country’s raw materials taken back to Britain, and native lands were seized. Indians were also forced to fight and die for freedom, however the British denied this freedom for over 100 years.
