Dynasty that ruled China for over 250 years and came to an end after the Chinese Revolution of 1911
Opium Wars
War between Britain and China over China’s refusal to trade for Britains opium.
Treaty of Nanjing
Unfair treaty signed by China after it’s defeat in the Opium war; China was forced to open more trade ports to Britain and to pay them money for war damages
Taiping Rebellion
A massive civil war in Southern China against the Manchu Qing dynasty. Didn’t end Qing dynasty but govt forced to share power with regional comanders
