Why did Britain choose India to imperialize?
They were rich in tea, coffee, opium, indigo, and cotton.
Also the Muslims and Hindus were fighting so it was a good time for Britain to step in.
Why was the British East India Company Created? What did it do?
It was created to exploit trade in India and Ruled through economic imperialism.
They made it Illegal for India to produce finished goods like clothing.
Only allowed India to produce raw materials that Britain could use.
India could only buy finished products from Britain

It happened because Indians were upset about social revisions and political reforms

Gandhi was an Indian man that supported peace between all religions. He believed that there should be non-violent protesting.
What was the Salt March? Why did it happen?
The salt march was the biggest protest that Gandhi started in order to protest the rule that the British made forbidding them to make salt. They walked extremely far to a beach where they made tons of salt.
During the Salt March, there was an American reporter documenting what was happening. Why was this important?
It was important so the whole world could see how Gandhi and his followers peacefully marched to the sea to disobey British rule without violence.
What was the partition of India? Why did it take place?
The partition was a separation of India making the Hindus and Muslims separate. It took place because the Hindus and Muslims did not get along and would have fought each other anyway. c
