2
Q

How do you calculate the number of cases per 1000

calculate the proportion unwell at a given time point (prvalnce)
multiply by 1000

Q

what is the incidence vs CI

A

incidence = the frequency of new cases of a disease, general term for all types of incidence
CI = the freqency of new cases of a diseases given a particular time period

Q

how to calculate incidence rate

A

Calculate poeple years
- total number of years people are at risk, exculdes once you have the disease or after you are lost to follow up
number developed illness / people years = incidence rate

Q

Can people lost to follow up still have relivant info

A
