What are the 3 responsibilities when responding to an incident ?
- Freeze:
Keep the scene in its original state
Nothing is to be touched or moved - Control
All movements in and out of the scene
All activity in the container area - Preserve
All relevant exhibits
Responsibilities of a scene guard
Unauthorised entry Notebook recording Brief authorised staff Explore and repot and suspicious activity Think of the animals
Important info when en-route to the scene
Obtain
- A description of the suspect
- A direction of the suspects vehicle (if any)
- The suspects direction of travel
- A description of any weapons carried
What’s the point of a SITREP
Keep comms informed of any changes at the scene and any action required
What’s the purpose of a CAP ?
Common approach path
Establishing a path for all movements into and out of the scene, which avoids any route possibly taken by the suspects/ victim.

What is Appreciation ?
Method of problem solving, to consider all possible factors and alternatives are considered. Used to assess any given situation or incident and decide on the best course of action to take.

- Surname and all first names
- full residential address & number
- occupation
- employer, full address of employment and numbers
- DOB
- phone numbers
