Q

Clinical

A
  • During my foundation training, I worked for 8 months on the Respiratory HDU during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • This gave me invaluable experience managing acutely unwell patients, staying calm under pressure, and adapting to rapidly changing situations.
  • As the Junior Doctor Lead for the RECOVERY Trial in my hospital, I also developed leadership skills, ensuring smooth trial logistics and communication between research and clinical teams.

Managerial + End

A
  • To refine my clinical skills, I have completed courses on ECG interpretation, ABG analysis, and acute medical management.
  • I also regularly attend international conferences, which keep me updated on the latest clinical guidelines and help me deliver evidence-based care to my patients.
  • Outside of clinical work, I founded and lead the Society of Czech & Slovak Doctors in the UK, which fosters professional development and collaboration.
  • This role has taught me the value of teamwork, resilience, and communication—all essential for internal medicine.
  • I’m excited to bring my experiences to IMT and continue developing as a clinician while delivering the best possible care to patients.
