I led a quality improvement project at Bristol Royal Infirmary to enhance compliance with NICE guideline TA388 on Entresto (Sacubitril Valsartan) prescribing for patients with symptomatic HFrEF. Over two audit cycles, I reviewed around 1000 patient records, identified barriers, and collaborated with the cardiology team to implement targeted interventions.
Key changes included initiating Entresto despite pending device referrals and improving communication for borderline cases. These measures increased compliance from 74% to 95%, significantly improving timely access to optimal therapy. I managed data collection, statistical analysis, and implementation, with findings presented at the 2018 World Congress on Acute Heart Failure in Vienna.
