A

Smaller- stays in mouth

A

Keeps tray in right position and prevent distortion of impression material

-> Good for stabilising in resorbed ridge
-> Can be combined with certain handles

A

If patient doesn’t tolerate further back post dam you can cut it to the first

A

Gives gap to prevent acrylic pressing on bony prominences (tori)

What are the likely causes of a denture not fitting at delievery? What can be done?

A

 Issue during impression taking- not noticed at trial
 Processing issue within lab
 Movement of teeth

-> Check for areas of acrylic that need adjusting that are not allowing denture to seat (Remake if required)
