A versatile word that could mean “wrong”, or if it’s by itself, “Go!”, “Go for it!”, or even “Let’s go!”
If you add it to the end of a word it means “less”. Adding los to zeit would mean zeitlos “timeless”
Hilfe + los = hilflos “helpless”
Was ist los? = “what is wrong”
Los geht’s! = “let’s go!”

anhalten = “to stop”. If it’s a question, the verb halten begins the sentence and no matter how long the sentence is, an is at the end.
