- Known as the Father of the Constitution
- Ideas were the basis for discussing how to structure a new government

- One of the Framers (from Pensilvania), very respected
- Main role at the convention was to help the delegates to cooperate with each other
- Supported important compromises at the convention
- Distinguished career as inventor, writes, revolutionary, printer and peacemaker

- One of the Framers, served in the militia and NY legislature
Good speech maker during the convention, important role in writing and making the final draft of the Constitution

Most respected and honored American, one of the Framers
Didn’t want to be involved in politics, but finally agreed to attend the convention because he didn’t want people to think he had lost faith in republican governement

- Convinced one change of vote to T. Jefferson in the Election of 1800, which ended the tie for presidency, opponent A. Burr killed Hamilton
