Q

When did the little rock nine happen, did it show change or continuity and what was it about?

A

It happened in 1957 after the integration of schools. Nine black students started at Little Rock High school. Angry white protesters were against this so the black students had an army to escort them to school. The president had to send 1000 soldiers for the next 12 months while the black students attended Little Rock High school. It shows how deep rooted the hate for black people was back then. It shows BOTH CHANGE AND CONTINUITY.
