Particular Atonement theory
Particular Atonement Theory- States that christ only died for a particlar people and that only these people will be saved. This dismisses the need for evangalism, or living in a certain manner becasue we are already saved

Doecetism
Docetism States that christ was not actually human , rather he only appered to be human. If this is the truth our salvation has been corrupted, because we need a sacrifice that was fully human to die on the cross for us and atone for our sins !

Universalism
Universalism takes John3:16 and 1 John2 to be interpreted as the belief that christ did not only die for those that are being saved , he died for the entire world.
Thus becasue christ died for them , the entire world is saved reguardless whether they give their lives to chrit or not.
What does Doctrine Give to the Church ?
PARAMETERS- Helping men to understand there sinand the way that they live, and when law is used in this fashion it is used as sound doctrine.
POSITION ( 1Tim 1:6)- Doctrine is not desisnged to be something your supposed to learn in your intellect for knowledge sake. it is for practical living.Helping you know where you are and while also drawing you closer to God.

PROTECTION- You should constanly compare your thoughts and actions against the scriptures in order to ensure that your attitudes , behaviors , and way of life line up with Gods instruction
PREEMINENCE- (1Tim5:17) People who teach you doctrine ought to be given more respect than anyone else .The teacher of doctrine is suppsoeds to get the utmmost respect , more than you give anyone! That is why Gal 6:6 let him who is taught the word share all good things with him who teaches.
PEACE( 1 Tim 6:1,3-6)- The kingdom life is not merelt about survival and just trying to get by” its about contentment. When you dont have contentment it is simply becasue there is something more that you want , but do not have!

Doctrines of Men (Colossians 2:22) These are the doctrines created by Men.
Doctrine of Trends (Ephesians 4)- These are known as “ every wind of doctrine”, and such trends have always existed. For example, the mega church era is charecterized as being trendy.
Doctrine of Devils(1Tim 4:1)- These are doctrines created by satan to oppose the will and of God and Sound Doctrine.
