Militarism
the belief or desire of a government or people that a country should maintain a strong military capability and be prepared to use it aggressively to defend or promote national interests
Imperialism
A policy of extending a country’s power and influence through diplomacy or military force.

Treaty of Versailles

A member of the majority faction of the Russian Social Democratic Party, which was renamed the Communist Party after seizing power in the October Revolution of 1917.

A political theory derived from Karl Marx, advocating class war and leading to a society in which all property is publicly owned and each person works and is paid according to their abilities and needs

Dictatorship: a form of government in which the ruler is an absolute dictator

A former communist country in eastern Europe and northern Asia; established in 1922; included Russia and 14 other soviet socialist republics

Daughter of Nehru who served as prime minister of India from 1966 to 1977
Fascism
An authoritarian and nationalistic right-wing system of government and social organization.
Shell shock
Psychological disturbance caused by prolonged exposure to active warfare, esp. being under bombardment.
