Pliny’s Letter to Trajan (113 CE)
Pliny sent a letter to emperor Trajan about how he didn’t know how to deal with the Christians. Trajan told him that they shall not be punished or be captured without reason, but that this was allowed on correct circumstances.

Anyone who said that they were Christian was obviously not worshiping the emperor. They were believed to form a group that was hightl active at night and that performed numerous deplorable acts.
Perpetua and Felicity (203 CE)
Perpetua and Felicity were both arrested for refusing to worship the emperoro an be Christians instead. They were sent to prison and forced to battle against beasts. Even in the thoughest of situations, their worship towards God didn’t falter.
