1000 homeless Londoners were residing in a school. It was hit on September 10 1940 . They should have been evacuated a day before. The government attempted to cover up the situation as the Londoners should have been evacuated
Bethnal green disaster 1943
After an allied raid over Germany killed 1500 people the people of london excpected a revenge attack so many were piling into get underground .
An anti aircraft rocket was fired nearby . The noise caused mass panic causing more people to fill the station . 173 people were crushed to death
