Q

what is the cell mediated response

A
  1. clonal selection in the Thymus
  2. T cell binds to the antigen that on the MHC.
  3. T cell duplicates (clonal expansion)
  4. T helper cells will release cytokines
the cytokines either trigger cytotoxic tcells, phagocytes or B cells.

Q

B cells

A

B cells can act as antigen presenting cells although rare.
presents that antigen to the T cell
t helper cell clonal expansion
release lots of cytokines
