What is the definition of anaphylaxis
A
Acute onset Skin signs (urticaria, flushing, oedema)
AND EITHER
- Resp: bronchospam/stridor/hypoxia
- Cardio: Hypotension with end organ dysfunction (collapse/syncope)
- Severe GI (Abdo pain/vomiting) WITHOUT food born allergen
OR
Acute (minutes to hours) hypotension or bronchospasm or upper airway obstruction after exposure to known or highly probably allergen

Who needs prolonged/overnight monitoring post treatment of anaphylaxis
A
Required multiple doses of adrenalin
History of severe or protracted anaphylaxis
Concomitant illness (severe asthma, arrhythmia, systemic mastocystosis)
Lives alone or remote
Presenting late in the evening
