Incubation: 2-5 days
Exudative pharyngitis
Respiratory obstruction, myocarditis, neuritis, death (5-10%)

A

Clostridium tetani
DTap/TDap - 2,4,6,15-18 months. 4-6, 11-12 year booster. Then 10 year booster. Pregnancy booster.
Incubation: 2-5 days
Symp: Trismus, Stiff neck, aphasia, rigidity, fever, High BP, Tachycardia, Spasms
Comp: Breathing interference (spasm), spinal fracture/long bone fracture, arrhythmia, PE, death

Symp: Whooping cough - >2 weeks, catarrhal stage, paroxysmal stage - paroxysms of rapid cough
Comp: pneumonia, seizures, encephalopathy, death
Meds: azithromycin, erythromycin, clarithromycin
