What are lymphocytes ?
The part that creates antibodies
What do the white blood cells do in the body?
Protect against pathogens
What do antibodies do?
Stick to the antigens on pathogens and then destroy them
Antibodies act as a label, what does this make possible?
The phagocytes recognising the pathogen and form memory cells so that the pathogen will be remembered
What happens when the bacteria is bursted open?
The white blood cells neutralise the toxins produced
What is a vaccination?
The objective of an inactive strain of pathogen so that your body fights it off and then have created memory cells of that pathogen so that if it returned as a live pathogen, your body can fight it quickly.
Why do some bacteria have to be treated with many different antibiotics
To make sure they are ALL killed
To find the antibiotic that is effective in killing them ALL
